This chapter was founded in the Fall of 2000 by Co-Presidents Bruce Uliss and Steve Malcom, the Rehoboth Beach ~ Lewes Chapter of Black Tie Club International was an immediate success. Its operating format has been the holding of two 3-day weekend events each year – one in the Spring and the other on the Columbus Day weekend in the Fall – each with six hosts from the membership. In May 2010 the Chapter celebrated its 10th Anniversary in conjunction with the 2010 International Event. More than 140 Black Tie Club international members from across the USA and Canada attended.

Following Bruce Uliss’ untimely passing in 2004, Steve Malcom was joined by George Coscia as Co-President. In 2007, Terry Colli joined George as Co-President, replacing Steve Malcolm. In 2012, Glenn Reighart became Vice President with George Coscia serving as President. Joe Smith assumed the presidency in 2015.

Chapter membership averages about 80 to 90 yielding a diverse group of successful professionals. For good reason, the Chapter has become known as the “party chapter” and we all work hard to live up to that reputation.
